The fourth state rankings of the season have been released by the NYSSWA. Below are the WNY teams that made the cut:

Canisius #4
St. Joe's #21
McKinley #22
Class B
East #1
Olean #3
Nichols #17
Class C
Middle College #5
Silver Creek #18
Class D
Sherman #1
Clymer #14
** According to the rankings:
– Within one week, the two Section VI Class B powerhouses (East & Olean) knocked off the very best Section V has to offer. Greece Athena is the highest Class AA team ranked from Section V at #15, while Aquinas is ranked at #17 in Class AA.
– For a third straight week, not a single Section VI team is top 25 worthy in Class AA
– Canisius remains the top catholic Class A school in the state
– Nichols is the top catholic school in the state in Class B
– Middle College should cancel it's hotel reservation in Glens Falls. Clyde-Savannah of Section V has moved a spot ahead of them.
– Sherman is now considered the top dog in Class D in NYS
