Game of the Week – Randolph @ Salamanca on Thursday, February 13th

– On the second to last day of the Section VI regular season, things have set up nicely for these two schools to have a winner-take-all duel for the CCAA I East league title.

Randolph took round one from the Warriors in a dramatic 76-75 home victory in which it was bombs away for the Cardinals from beyond the arc.  It was the first league loss for Salamanca, while Randolph remained unbeaten in CCAA East I.  But the very next game, the Cardinals faltered in a game at Allegany-Limestone, meaning both schools once again have the same record heading into the rematch.

Salamanca still needs to defeat Portville prior to the big game in order to keep pace with the Cardinals.  In their first meeting, the Warriors downed the Panthers by nine.  It's part of a busy week for Salamanca, who also has a game against Cuba-Rushford.  However, I'm banking on the Warriors entering this Thursday with the same league record as Randolph, and ready to exact revenge by dashing the league hopes of the Cardinals, which were so high just two weeks earlier.

R u insane? Clearly the top game of the night is at Jamestown 2nite with Will North.
The more I think about it, just give Tap the Player of the Year award now, I truly don’t c the need 2 wait until April. It’s great that Bathurst is a smart kid and going 2 Cornell, but Tap is just a better all around player. I think in 1 on 1 it would be Tap 11, Bathurst 2.
