Why did Silveri get dumped/or quit at Daemen and McDonald hired? Anyone know the real story?

A little research might have answered my question. She had Canisius connections and McDonald used to coach Canisius. Still why they dumped Silveri so harshly?

Does anyone know if Sec. 6 officially approved schools playing the 19th game that was OK’d by the NYSHSAA for this season? Are all the public schools in Sec. 6 going to play the extra game?
Looks like Sec. 5 schools, although the extra game was narrowly approved by section vote, might not add the game to their schedules.
    Just curious…

Probably because she believes McD can build a winning D-2 program but it is crap. Silveri proved that he is a winner and won the conference regular season title last year with a team that was not fully transitioned into D-2 and a team full of players that were not recruited to play at a D-2 school. Silveri has proven that he could recruit top local and regional players and win. McD may be able to do the same but no good reason for the dump off.

Heard Daeman coach was handing out to much athletic $$$ and admissions couldn’t cover it anymore. Medaille offered Mike Berkun the men’s and women’s job as well as fundraising, and as we know he turned it down.

How does a freshman guard from WIll South get recruited to play at OSU? Never played a varsity game. Sounds funny. AAU is not that big of a recruiting tool. Somebody explain. Thanks

three great basketball players in wny may be better football players as they all help their teams win football sectional titles
    zack panebianco of Jamestown
    Bryce Morrison of Randolph
    zak ciezki of cheektowaga
    great job
hope you all have a great basketball season

WNY Hoops– Although I hate to say it, I think the exact opposite is true, AAU/Elite camps are the primary recruiting mechanisms for players who have an interest in playing college basketball. It allows large numbers of coaches to evaluate multiple players against comparable competition. Not a big fan of the system but it is reality.

Closeout is correct, AAU/Elite Camps are a much more significant venue for recruiting

Freshman guard from Will South isn’t being recruited cause of AAU, Will South attended a team camp at Ohio State this summer and that was how he was noticed by OSU
