 Class D

** According to the rankings…

– There are at least four teams from Section V's Class AA that are better than whoever wins the title this year in Section VI.  Aquinas, Rochester East, & Fairport are all ranked, while Bishop Kearney is on par with those schools and just beat Fairport last night.

– The NYS Class A Federation Championship game would be Class A #1 Greece Athena vs. #2 Canisius.

– After Greece Athena, Section V has no teams ranked, while Section VI has three teams ranked, along with the two teams from the MMA (Canisius & Park).

– Olean would see North Rose-Wolcott (Section V) in the regionals.

– Olean & Walsh are both projected to win state championships.  If that happened, they just might meet up at the Federation Tournament.

– There are two teams from Section V ranked ahead of Middle College, and one of them (Northstar Christian) is ranked #1 in the state.  Yes, they are a private school in Class C.

– Section V also has two teams from Class D ranked ahead of Panama & Franklinville.

– Based on state rankings, Section VI will go 1-4 at regionals, but Olean will win a state championship.  State rankings also currently predict state championships for Canisius & Walsh as well.
