After leading the Red Raiders to the New York State Class AA championship game last season and garnering WNY Player of the Year honors from both the Buffalo News and this site, Jaysean Paige has transferred out of Jamestown. The 6-1 senior who dazzled fans last season with an array of 3-pointers, hanging jumpers, and monster dunks, is currently enrolled at Perry County Central High School located in Hazard, Kentucky.
Paige, who transferred to Jamestown prior to the start of his sophomore year, averaged 26.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game for the Red Raiders as a junior last season. He also shot an incredible 58% from the field, while throwing down over 50 slams in 24 games.
According to reports, his eligibility to play basketball for the Perry County Central Commodores is pending an official decision from the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.
