– Health Sciences senior guard Amir Moye exploded for a career high 57-points in the team’s 118-46 victory over Burgard. The 57 points are a school record at Health and the highest output by any player in WNY this season. The record setting outburst followed a previous career-high 35 point outing at St. Francis.
– Harlem Brannon (Ken West) & Amir Moye (Health Sciences) were both honored this week after eclipsing 1,000 career points scored
– Eden’s Kobe Genco banged a school record nine 9-pointers in a 66-32 victory over Maritime, breaking his previous record of 8. The sophomore guard finished with a career-high 33 points in the victory and his 9 triples pushed his season total to a WNY-best 41 makes. Genco has a career total of 215 treys already.
– MST junior Brandon Singletary had a pair of scoring outburst during the week, hanging a career-high 37 points, including 7 treys, on Bennett, which followed his 36 points to go with 10 rebounds in a victory over IPrep to start the week.
– Springville head coach Al Monaco earned his 400th career coaching victory in the team’s win at JFK on Monday.
– Sherman junior Cal Cook scored a career-high 28 points in the team’s 72–52 win against Franklinville.
– Williamsville North sophomore Evan Morphy scored a career-high 25 points in a 74–71 loss to Jamestown
– Iroquois Senior Justus Kleitz has four straight games scoring over 30 points, including all three games played last week totaling 39, 34, and 32 points. He is averaging a whopping 36.4 on the year.
– McKinley senior Anthony Moore scored a career-high 30 pts in a 77-51 triumph over Hutch Tech.
– Dane Brown dropped 34 points in Grand Island’s 75–48 victory over Ken East.
– Bennett sophomore Donte Parker scored 33 points in the Tigers’ loss to MST last week.
– Charlie Croff made 20 free throws in a 31 point performance as Lockport defeated North Tonawanda, 67-59.
– When Ken West defeated Niagara Wheatfield 49–46, they had three players crashing the boards consistently. Harlem Brannon grabbed 13 rebounds, while James Robertson and Avahn Jackson each hauled in 12 boards.
– Westfield senior Grant Beadle continues to build his résumé as the 2026 Chairman of the Boards. In three games last week, his rebounding totals were 18, 19, and 16 boards. He is averaging 15.1 per contest on the season.
– St. Joe’s is on a 7-game win streak that includes victories over the following Top 10 teams: Canisius, Niagara Falls, Nichols, & St. Francis. The new WNY #1 has just one local loss, suffered at Health Sciences in a game they were missing standout sophomore guard JJ Shanklin.
– Trailing 31-18 at halftime, Wilson gave up a 3-pointer to start the 2nd half against Medina. The Lakemen then proceeded to outscore the Mustangs, 48-11 the rest of the way, sailing to a 66-45 victory.
– Dunkirk’s 65–60 victory over Fredonia snapped a 13-game losing streak against their rivals.
– Last week, Barker knocked off Albion, a team who defeated Newfane by 15 this season….the same Newfane team that just knocked off Akron by 15.
– Three previously undefeated teams fell from the ranks last week. Akron dropped its first game to Newfane, Orchard Park fell at home to Williamsville North, and Medina lost the battle of unbeaten teams at Wilson.
– Wilson, Tapestry, & Global Concepts are the only undefeated teams remaining in WNY. Tapestry hosts Global this Thursday evening.
– There are still 7 teams in WNY without a victory on the season.
