Large Schools
1. Health Sciences (AAA) – The Falcons are packing in a lot of season into February, coming off 3 more wins last week against McKinley, Middle College, & Burgard, who they rolled up 220 points against in two games combined this season. Four more games are coming this week, hosting Bennett & South Park and visiting McKinley & Kipp Charter.
2. St. Joe’s (AA) – Knocked from 1st place by Nichols on Tuesday night, the Marauders rebounded with a win over St. Francis on Friday. A return to the top of the MMA standings depends on their ability to sweep rival Canisius on Tuesday & then avenge a loss to St. Mary’s.
3. Canisius (AA) – The Crusaders fought their way back into 1st place in the MMA with 3 wins last week. After taking care of O’Hara on Tuesday, Canisius swept the series with Nichols and pulled out a tough one the following afternoon when St. Mary’s visited. The Centercourt ‘Game of the Week’ on Tuesday night has rival St. Joe’s coming in with 1st place at stake. CHS finishes the week at Timon on Friday.
4. Nichols (AA) – Fell behind during the 2nd quarter of a loss at Canisius on Friday after scoring an important win over St. Joe’s days before. Nichols needs to win out and hope for some help. They travel to Timon & St. Francis this week.
5. Niagara Falls (AAA) – Got back into the win column on Saturday afternoon with a victory at Sweet Home after a lousy showing at East High in Rochester earlier in the week. A pair of Rochester opponents, UPrep & Rush-Henrietta, sandwich a game at Tapestry next week for the Wolverines.
6. St. Mary’s (AA) – Earned a season sweep over Timon for the first time since the 2010 season and chased that with a rout over Cardinal O’Hara, before victory slipped out of their grasp in the closing minutes at Canisius on Saturday. The Lancers have league games on Tuesday and Friday at Park and St. Joe’s, with a nonleague game against South Park in the middle of the week.
7. Jamestown (AAA) – Rode the hot hand of Gavin Johnson at Orchard Park & he rewarded the team with 7 treys. The Red & Green are alone in 1st place in ECIC I and can clinch the league title with a victory against Clarence on Thursday, before hosting a nonleague game with South Park on Saturday.
8. Grand Island (A1) – Pushed their record to 15-2 with 3 more wins last week, including a hard fought ‘W’ at Ken West on Saturday. The Vikings can clinch the NFL title with a victory in either of their games next week, hosting Lockport and at CSAT.
9. Orchard Park (AA) – Earned a bounce back win at Lancaster after suffering their 3rd loss of the 2026 season when Jamestown visited on Wednesday. The Quakers have a rematch on the road against North next week and then finish off their regular season against Frontier.
10. Williamsville North (AA) – Put a thumping on a pair of league opponents last week when Lancaster & Clarence visited, along with earning a victory at Frontier, before dropping a district rivalry game at Williamsville South on Saturday. The Spartans have a rematch against Orchard Park on Tuesday and then heads to Lancaster on Thursday afternoon. North plays its final game of the regular season Saturday morning, hosting North Tonawanda.
Small Schools
1. Tapestry (B2) – The last of the undefeated teams made it to 16-0 with 3 more wins last week. They drilled JFK & Cleveland Hill, but had to claw their way back after trailing by double figures for much of the night at Global Concepts on Friday. This week brings three more games and staying unbeaten would be quite the feat when you look at what’s ahead – hosting Holland on Monday, then a Global rematch on Wednesday and the following night Niagara Falls shows up!
2. Wilson (C) – Gutted out a win in double OT behind 34 points from Aidan Neumann to stay unbeaten in the N-O with just two games left, against Albion on Tuesday and at Akron on Friday for a Centercourt ‘Game of the Week’ broadcast.
3. Akron (B2) – Improved their record to 14–3 last week with victories over Barker and Roy-Hart. If the Tigers are to earn a share of the league title, they will need a little help along with victories at Medina and against Wilson on Friday night.
4. Global Concepts (C) – Playing in their first game of the season against a fellow Top 10 small school, the Gators served up notice that they are legitimate, leading almost the entire way against Tapestry on Friday night. Wednesday night they will head off for a rematch against Tapestry following a home game with Eden on Monday.
5. Middle College (B1) – The Kats were solid in a 14-point win over MST to sweep the season series. Following a 52-point victory over Buffalo Culinary, Middle College gave a great performance against Health Sciences, eventually conceding in an 11-point loss.
6. Olmsted (B1) – The Owls made it 6 consecutive victories after knocking off Bennett, Buffalo Culinary, and Riverside last week. A rematch of last season’s Class B1 Final comes Monday evening at Middle College before a Wednesday visit to MST. A fun game to close out the week on Saturday afternoon with Sweet Home making a visit.
7. Medina (B1) – A tough week for the Mustangs with a pair of heartbreaking losses at the hands of Wilson and Albion. Last week should have them all sorts of fired up when Akron visits on Tuesday, a team that gave it to them good in Round 1. The Mustangs close out the week with a rematch at Newfane on Friday.
8. Forestville (D) – The Hornets demanded a spot in the rankings with a big 17-point victory over Sherman, coming off a 56-point win over Franklinville the night before.
9. Sherman (D) – Lost for just the 2nd time all season on Friday against Forestville after earning wins over Maple Grove & Westfield earlier in the week. The Wildcats visit Panama & Cattaraugus-Little Valley this week.
10. MST (B2) – Dropped two straight last week, falling for a 2nd time to Middle College & getting clipped by Bennett. The Wolves rebounded with a win over IPrep and will visit Hutch Tech on Monday looking for another win ahead of a rematch against Olmsted on Wednesday.
